Privacypolicy.
This page describes what we collect through the enquiry form, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. The applicable framework is the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the oversight body is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Who is accountable
Chip Clash, 873 Bd de l'Escale, Havre-Saint-Pierre, QC G0G 1P0, Canada, is the organisation accountable for the personal information described here. Enquiries about this policy go to [email protected].
TODO: name the individual designated as accountable for privacy compliance, and add the business registration number once verified.
What we collect
From the enquiry form: your name, the company or organisation if you give one, your e-mail address, your phone number, the programme or category you chose, the event date, the city or venue, the guest number, the budget range if you choose one, and anything you write in the details field.
Two confirmations are recorded with the enquiry: that everyone attending will be 18 or older, and that you have read how the props chips work. Your marketing preference is recorded as given or not given.
Our server records the usual technical log entries for a request, including the IP address, in order to keep the site available and to defend against abuse of the form.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and prepare a written offer. That is the only purpose of the form.
To keep a record of the offer and the confirmations in case of a later dispute about what was agreed.
To send you occasional news about programmes, but only if you ticked the marketing box, and only until you ask us to stop.
Consent
You give consent by sending the form, for the purpose stated on the form. The marketing box is separate, unticked by default, and sending the form without it does not sign you up to anything.
You may revoke consent at any time by writing to [email protected], subject to any records we have to keep for accounting or for an active contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become events: 24 months from the date of the enquiry, then deletion.
Enquiries that become events: for the duration of the contract and then as required for accounting records.
Marketing consents: until you revoke them, plus a record of the revocation itself.
Server logs: short-term, for availability and abuse defence.
Who else can see it
Our hosting provider, which stores the site and the mail it sends, as a service provider acting on our instructions.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for anybody else's marketing, and we use no advertising or analytics tag on this site today.
TODO: name the hosting and e-mail provider and the country where the data is stored, once the contract is signed.
Information kept or processed outside Canada
If a service provider stores data outside Canada, that information may be accessible to the courts and authorities of that country under its own law. We will name the provider and the country in the section above rather than leave you to guess.
Your rights
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction if it is wrong, ask for deletion, or revoke a consent you gave. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
TODO: confirm the current complaints address and URL of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada before publication.
Cookies and measurement
We set one cookie to remember your cookie choice, and session and security cookies as needed. Analytics and marketing categories are switched off by default and stay off until you turn them on in the cookie settings.
No Google Analytics or Google Ads tag is loaded on this site today. Should measurement be added later, consent is requested first, Consent Mode defaults stay denied until you choose, and these two Google pages describe how Google handles data in that case:
Security
The form is protected by a session token, a hidden honeypot field and length limits on every field. Enquiry records are written to a log outside the public web directory, and access to the mailbox is limited to the people who answer enquiries.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we update the date below. For a change that affects the purpose of processing, we will say so on the page rather than only changing the date.
